For every member of this forum that actually takes the time and trouble to post a question. there are at least ten more members who view the topics. Anyone can be certain of this by viewing the number of hits each topic gets. Can I just strongley advise all interested parties to attend the DASA open forum, remember you do not have to be a member to attend the open forum where you will be given the oppurtunity to raise as many questions as time will allow. You can then see for youself the kind of dedicated, informed, and enthusiastic personell that the Dasa council have onboard. I too have had my doubts but at least I went to Peterborough last month to see for myself and make my own mind up.
You may believe it or not, but there is going to be a shake up in this industry and I want to be a part of it not just a bystander who wished he’d caught the bus. Do what I did go along to the open forum ask your own questions and then you can at least make an informed choice.

    Regards as ever Del

Very true and I do wish that if you have a question that you ask, even if you’ve never done so before especially on this subject. This is a network that is being built by repairers, for repairers and the more input that there is the better it will be and the less assumptions will be made.

So if you have something to say, say it, DASA member or not! 🙂

On that, if anyone wants to pose questions regarding this anonymously, please contact either myself or Ken, who can assist in this. I for one will guarantee the questions raised will be addressed without any names being mentioned, and I’m sure Ken will do the same if requested.

    Best Regards

    Dave.

I am an ex-member of DASA, but I have to mirror the comments made by Del, Dave Conway and Ken. To those of you ex or non DASA members out there watching, and those of you that have contacted me recently, be aware that there is a raging debate going on about Network-DASA. Now is the time to get your five penny worth in, I have no doubt that the AGM will be something to behold, but you need as many questions answered before the meeting. With respect to DASA members,we whilst no doubt welcome, are guests to their meeting. Currently, the cat is being skinned, time for you to pull its tail!

Yes, now is the time to ask questions, especially for those that are outside of DASA as all and any input is valuable to try to tailor the whole network to try to please everyone.

You can ask here or you can send an email to the network team but please if you have comments or concerns then air them. Of course there is also the DASA AGM which is open for non-DASA members to attend and there will be people there that can answer most queries I’m sure. I’m also sure that anyone that is not currently a DASA member will be made most welcome at the AGM.

    Well said Jonah!.
I hope the small companies will be involved in Network DASA as a lot of good things come from working with the `one man bands`.

We are more personal and I believe more concerned for our customers and we definatly try harder than the bigger companies.

I`m referring now to manufacturer service and not you good people within this group, attitude is so important and is often forgotten by the manufacturer engineer who calls to repair and often leaves the customer with a very poor image,I hear it all the time.

I agree with you Jonah and hope, along with you, for a different approach to the `little man`.

Sorry the post is late but I`ve been away.

    Guys,

Please put your thoughts in the Network DASA forums, trust me all the comments are looked at reviewed and, even in some cases already, has led to changes being made. But as the old saying goes, if you don’t ask, you don’t get!

This is being done for the trade, not for anyone to make a profit from it other than the people on the ground doing the work and it is truly a labour of love as the effort going into this is phenomenal from some of the people involved. But as I keep saying, they need your opinions and ideas as well as their own.

    K.
