ModeratorA few days ago we slid across to the new Connect website, now I know some peeps out there have got isues with the pricing structure and returns policy.
However I must say I am impressed with the new layout and functions that have been introduced.
The new style mediator with the parts list displayed by section which matches the exploded view. Also now that the Lux group are featured on it as well it may save some pennies on buying the TDS disc.
They have also reintroduced “hiding” the trade price and setting your own selling price too, very handy for me, as customers do tend to see my pc screen.
There are other refinements too but these are the main ones that I like.
Anyone else out there slid across yet?

Hi Dave
This is the web site that Connect use 😉
I had a call from a gent called Terry ( I think that was his name) at Connect last Thursday. We set up the new login details on the new site and away we went.
I had a couple of questions which I spoke to him about yesterday, of which were solved very quickly.

Hi Dave
Terry did say that the roll out will take a while to get to everyone, he reckoned each phone call to “slide” each customer across takes about 10 mins.
No doubt you will get a call shortly 😉

i had to ask the rep to sort out access to new website as i had recieved a leaflet about it a month before, he turned up within a few days and sorted it. its a big improvement when you get used to it. one of the new features is multiple users, so several people can compile their own orders and as don says, the ability to hide trade or rrp prices is useful and quicker than before, just one click of the mouse. nice!

How do you get into Mediator? It used to be a menu item but it’s not there on the new site menu.

Hi Phidom
Mediator is accessed either by “brand” or “category” from the home page. If there is a mediator picture available for the item you are looking up you will see a tab for it.

Thanks Don,
perhaps they have to load all the models onto the new system from scratch as it only seems to cover a limited range at the moment. I just tried looking at the Beko DV5531B which is an electric cooker. Mediator shows it as a gas cooker! 😆April 10, 2008 at 12:46 pm #247022don

Hi Phidom
I just looked at two different versions of that cooker and both pictures are showing as electric cookers as are the parts listings as well . Top group picture shows the solid plates and bottom group piccy shows the fan oven element amongst other parts. Unless it has been updated since your last visit of course 😉
