Okay I`ve had a good read of the first page in this forum to get the gist of what`s currently ongoing, so now I`m probably ready for the next stage of learning 😀

Now my status has changed, I notice I have more buttons at my disposal when viewing topics. I know K is busy, any other nice mod wanna help out a newbee 😉 and any other little gems I should know about.

Hi Don,

The Oooh Matron thread is as you may have guessed for anything we think is a bit naughty.

‘In Search of the Fourth Cord, is for people who may or may not be trade or for trade people who appear to be a bit dozy. 😉 It used to be called Joe or Pro but was edited to appear a little more obtuse on the scrolling XML box.

You can now not only edit your own post but any other post on the forum.

You can remove a post or even a complete thread if you see fit. Unless it is something like spam or really nasty that needs urgent removal we usually run it past the other mods to see if they agree with our decision.

You can move posts that are posted in the wrong forum, remember to uncheck the ‘leave a shadow’ option to prevent dead threads from appearing in the forums.

The Lock Topic and Split Topic buttons are obvious although I have never tried the Split Topic one.

Nearly forgot, the Martin thread has to be bumped at sporadic intervals but especially if he is being a wally at the time. 👿

Thanks for the explanation about the threads. I had guessed that`s what they were about.

The buttons are fine, I have now had a look at those and they seem easy enough.

I`ve just been playing around with the IP addresses button I see you are on Manc.cable etc. You certainly get out and about with all those addresses 😆 must have a look at mine in a mo 🙂

No worries I shan`t do anything silly with posts or threads unless I run it past you guys first.

I`m off now to see if Martins online 😈 lol
