ParticipantThe one on my machine has gone kaput the usual channels have not uncovered a replacement 🙁
The machine’s model number is A3586 and the left hand thermostat (as one looks at the backplate from the rear of the machine) is the one that has failed – as the machine heats up to 60 degrees on the 40 cycle.
The thermostat has a violet spot on it and the part number is either HVR676890 or 9036096.
Does anyone have a replacement?
Cheers!
Rob

Thanks Don; the German site is basically the same company as Partmaster, as are quite a few other spares sites it seems.
Once the part is added in the basket, it says that the part is out of stock 🙁

I’ve ordered parts from them before, even obsolete ones, and they’ve never let me down.

Well, I called apart4u this morning, to double-check whether or not their website is telling porkies.
After checking; nope, the thermostat is not in stock and they cannot get one from their suppliers.
Any more suggestions gratefully received…

Oh dear, that’s a shame. They’ve always come up with the goods for me. 🙁
I will go on looking as well.

Think i may have a old hoover machine somewhere, not able to check till tuesday so will let you know then.
But i do get them in from time to time…it is possible to open them up and clean the contacts sometimes!
But only as a short term fixMartin

Thanks everyone for your offer of help…
Muv, I do appreciate you having a look; thank-you.
I took the back off the old thermostat and the actual contact strip is broken, so sadly, a quick clean-up won’t do the trick. Bu**er.
Do let me know how you get on and, if anyone has a used/new part gathering dust on an old shelf, I’d be interested…
Also, would a two-stage 30/40 thermostat from another, more modern machine fit?
