ParticipantIs it time?
Every other question is, ‘such I buy this piece o’ crud, or should I buy this piece o’ crud?’
Conflict of interests? 😕

He`s had 3 pages of advice and he`s still only listening to himself 🙄 .
Just leave him to make another mistake is my view 😈 .

For a public retail forum, where people say ‘What’s the Ariston like?’ and ‘which dishwasher is a good one?’
Or do they all just need to be moved into the ‘general enquires forum?
Can they all be sorted with a huge sticky?
Lurker aint that bad Bryan… well, ya know? But there’s similar posts everywhere.

KeymasterI think this is a problem that you’d never solve given people’s alarming ability not to RTFM, I mean just look at how many “E2” posts we still get even after explaining it in no less than three articles and God knows how many posts.
What we could do though is work up a kind of definitive article on it and just point at that to save re-treading old ground over and over.
I vote GB to kick it off, all those in favour… 😉

It’s a decent idea if you ask me.
Along with the ‘E2’ faults, the Hotpoint ‘test’ really gets my back up….

OK, I’ll do it!
Right after I finish our website, tidy the shop, tidy the store-room, tidy the basement, make some new re-cons, clean the toilet, do a stock-check, paint the shopfront, sandblast the shopfront, clean out the drains and repoint the brickwork.
Then I’m free to give something my full attention instead of my usual two cents 😉

Just a thought. How about a BER site in the public forum -statistics provided by engineers.
i.e. type and make of appliance
age of applianceIt should make interesting reading for the public to see how many under 2year old Ariston/indesit,Servis etc are written off!
