If the infrared light is not working could it be the sender or transmitter or some other fault. Trying to identify the fault and replace the appropiate component is the problem

its possibly the main rear pcb as this will stop the infra reds working 😆

Just replaced the receiver unit but the led is still not illuminated,do i replace the sender unit or start looking to change the main board which as just been posted as a possible cause.This sounds like expensive repairs.
