(P.S. is there anywhere I can leave feedback for the company who did the repair?? It would be nice to be able to see other users comments when choosing a company)
Please reply to this with any comments you may have regarding the repairs@ facility on UK Whitegoods.
Thankyou 😀
Dave.

Thanks for the thread Dave 🙂
My first experience of Repairs@ was great:
– Found forum on Sunday night googling for dishwasher model number
– Posted question here and received helpful replies and was directed to Repairs@
– Filled in Repairs@ form on Sunday night
– Repairer called Monday morning offering Wed morning appointment at fixed cost (excluding parts)
– Dishwasher fixed on Wednesday morning at agreed price + cost of new pumpThe repairer was FFR Services in Luton
Hope it works this well for everyone!

We certainly hope so Pete as we have standards to maintain and thank you for your kind comments, we do appreciate it and it means I have to buy Bryan a beer at the next meeting I presume. 😉

Michelle Olley wrote:Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! for this site. I was a bit nervous at first, putting my information into the form, with no way of knowing who I was commissioning – and then finding out someone would have to travel from Luton – how would that impact on the call out charge, I fretted? Then, getting a call to say someone would be calling at 530 in the morning was another surprise – I fully expected to have to take a day’s holiday to deal with this problem! And, besides, I don’t usually make arrangements for strangers I’ve contacted over the internet to visit my house in the small hours. Joking aside, the gentleman who came and fixed our washing machine was brilliant – not only did he fix it, and explain what the problem was (a blocked pipe due to bacteria building up after three years of low temperature washes), but he also explained how to stop it happening again (a monthly boil wash with stronger washing powder than liquid capsules). And he was gone at 630 – bef!
ore the fruit and veg market outside our front door started setting up.
Next time someone I know has a problem with a ‘white good’ – I know where to send them.Best wishes, Michelle Olley
Many thanks to Michelle for her kind comments and to Bryan for another great job well done.

Bryan strikes again… 😉
Dieter wrote:I have ususally repaired successfully all my own appliances during my 20 years of house ownership. My view is there are plenty of cowboys around and i have plenty of experience to deal with the problems.
So, Whirlpool bless them, have encouraged the expansion of the Wild West! No manuals, No tech help, No fault code sheets could be found. So back to my earlier point, i had to resort to finding an expert! My nerves would have been better cutting out a Pulmonary DVT than trusting an “Expert” However I found one! Bryan from FFR SERVICES @ LUTON 01582 752 712. Very prompt. Booked for 7 days time then rang and he cut it short to 3 days time and came early evening, replaced rotten 3yr old motor, we left it for 3 days to dry out and hey presto ALL OK!. Chatted about -80c freezers, took me down memory lane! So the upshot is i can trust “Experts” mmmm…so a recommendation is
FFR SERVICES ARE FRIENDLY & RELIABLE AND CAN RECOMMEND THEM
Best regards for XMAS & the New Year!

I am really annoyed as I had arranged for the repairer to come today to check out my washing machine. He did not turn up as arranged and did not call/email to say why he is not coming. 😡

Could you either PM or email your details to me please as we can’t see them on the system to protect your privacy? When I have those I’ll find out what’s happened.

Recieved today:
Excellent site for finding local service people.
I can’t find anywhere to leave feedback on the result of the service call though.
I was visited by an engineer from Rudkins (Peterborough) to repair a Servis washer dryer. He was prompt, friendly and carried out a good repair. Also the job was very good value for money – I’ll recommend them, and use them again. Cheers!😀

And today:
quinny wrote:Just to let you know, I arranged a repair through your repairs@ link, due to an ongoing problem with our Tumble Dryer, and out of the 3 recomendations you gave I chose S.D.Electrical Sevices (Simon) from Cheadle Hulme Cheshire, and I must say I was so pleased with his Service, Help and advice, it’s so nice to know there are still people out there who are not out to fleece us.
Give him and yourselves a 10 Star rating …or more.
Thanks UK Whitegoods.
Cheers Quinny😀
