Thank goodness it is not just the UK that has “muppets” and that the simple task of washing clothes is still shrouded in mystery and madness worldwide. The future for the repairer is assured.

No, it isn’t just a UK phenomena.

It’s not so much just people being muppets though Martin it’s also that they are getting duff information from multiple sources and/or not paying attention to the information that they do get.

I mean, you can’t get people to make a phone call or send an email because their cooker or fridge might kill them, what hope is there of them actually reading the packet of soap powered they bought in Asda or the instructions that came with the washing machine?

Non whatsoever and ’twas ever thus right from the invention of the front loader, back in the 50’s right up to today. Oversudsing with twin tub powder, bung it all in together sod the care labels, nowt has changed. Recalls too received the same complacency, though the volumes were far far less. Philips, Kenwood, GEC, Candy and Blomberg came up against a wall of ignorance. Qué Será Será……. 😀
