KeymasterOh dear, not good though not really surprising as it is a good age now and pretty much abandoned by Samsung.
If it’s got R600a in it then it says 88g of gas but if it’s not then I’ve no idea.

ParticipantUnfortunately the link you provided does not offer any useful information and nothing that I did not know already. As you have not offered any suggestions I will assume that you don’t know the answer. Thank you.

From information I have found about this model online it should have R134a. That’s what I used to recharge it. It is working, but the temperatures inside the fridge and freezer are both much warmer than showing on the display.

ParticipantI have been in touch with Samsung and been sentt around the houses, everybody saying they don’t have that information, apparently even the service centres, who supposedly repair them suggest they don’t know; well obviously I know what game they are playing! So finally I was promised a phone call from the Samsung Technical Support who they assured me would give me the informations needed. They called and said they didn’t know! In disbelief I suggested that, as they manufactured it and supposedly can repair it, the information MUST exist SOMEWHERE in the company, so I invited them to go away and find it and call me back with the information. They said they would! So, whilst not holding my breath, I will update here if I ever get the information. BTW. I established that the model was definitely an SR-S2026DVW.

KeymasterIf it’s dropped off their system and, that is entirely possible, then it is all too likely that they genuinely don’t know or cannot find any record.
Samsung et all obsolete stuff relatively soon and the range that came after that, the RS Series is obsolete pretty much being way over 10 years old now. Yours is before that.

ParticipantThey still offer to repair them, so they must have the information somewhere, otherwise they couldn’t do it themselves. I can’t believe that the information isn’t available somewhere.

KeymasterOh, you can still get some parts but you’re probably calling (or getting through) to a call centre, quite possibly a warranty company so they’ll send someone out and charge you, happily. Doesn’t mean they’ll fix it.
In Samsungland though that machine is ancient history. Positively prehistoric in their eyes.
Even the gas, R132a is no longer used, hasn’t been for years in domestic refrigeration so you need an F Gas certification to use it now.
No details of the charge volume are given, not terribly unusual.
But from what you’ve said and, assuming the charge is correct it does sound like a weak compressor which, given the age of it would come as no surprise.
