Is the defrost heater the front part of the evaporator?

Anyway – it’s still on the blink. It behaved for quite a while after replacing the sensor/fuse and defrost heater element but it still heats up. I’ve got a temperature probe inside & the temp rises periodically – even though the temp shown on the display remains at 3c. If I turn the power on & off it recognizes the temp[and shows it on the display] and starts the cooling cycle again.

Will replacing the evaporator cover help any? I thought that just housed the fan.

Seriously thinking about replacing rather than spending any more time/effort/cash. It will be taken out the back and given both barrels….

Re: Samsung SR-S2028CSS on the blink

So tried a new evaporator cover – disappointed to see the evaporator is still freezing up after replacing the defrost sensor/fuse and heater element.

New cover is on and it’s working[ after seeing off the ice monster].
I’m not confident however that this will solve the problem.

Anyone have any further suggestions? Could it be an electronic control problem?
