ParticipantEvening all
If you look in the UK Whitegoods forum recently ,Its fairly obvious what our former colleague is up to.A point to note is that as per the new constitution our AGM is now Feb after the main meeting (which is available to all)
We will convene to one of the smaller suites upstairs for a meeting of ONLY fully paid up members of the WTA ,which unless hell has frozen over he will not be able to attend.so..
is the Sept mtg a UKW engineer meeting (as it always used to be)? I know there was always a lot of crossover ,but maybe to stymie someone we need to be distinct .Reading between the lines he is going to try and insinuate that UKW is WTA and Vice Versa ,and you guys are puppets just doing as Ken or I tell you (as if),which personally I find insulting-bearing in mind he of all people should know how bloody hard we work in the WTA .
I may be wrong but I doubt it …
Also I think it would be a good plan to have a team meeting in Killy before the Sept mtg to just touch base and ensure we are all of a consensus about stuff that may be attempted to be thrown our way at the meeting .
thoughts please as usual

Entirely up to you guys on what you choose to do.
In all honesty, I’d leave it open.
He just got right up my nose with the attitude TBH.
Anyway, he’ll be made as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit as far as I’m concerned.

In my opinion he’s all mouth at a distance. I doubt very much if he would turn up at a meeting….
But if he does we have nothing to hide.

To be honest, I wouldn’t alter it…
If you did alter, in this particular instance, I think it would look to much like you are changing the rules to cover-up rather than ironing out cracks to stop the association being abused.

Hi All
I dont think theres a reason for a meeting before september (george your just after a jolly to get away from sue).
IF he turns up then we have the right to eject him if he tries to cause trouble.OR it could be called a UKW meeting instead as the WTA one is in fact Febuary.
But in any case I think we should treat him with the contempt he deserves and ignore him.
I would like to get Jackel to it though if possible.Bryan

I just had a thought with all the dangers that entails….
We’re all looking at this sh1t from him the wrong way round!
What Carl said earlier made me rethink this whole thing.
He’s on about a personal grudge from myself and Lawrence and I fully expect that’s the line that he will take when he gets his “go away” letter tomorrow but, things aren’t really that way round.
It’s actually a personal grudge that Ade has against myself and Lawrence as we didn’t (at least appear to) acquiesce to his wishes, primarily over FME when it was in fact the entire WTA management that kicked it to the kerb. However he’s chosen to single out me (who wasn’t even involved in it) and Lawrence to berate both in public and privately making all kinds of absurd allegations without any foundation.
When you stop and think about it, it really is a grudge from him, not anyone else.
Now, due to what he’s done subsequently there’s any number of reasons for telling him to bugger off so many and, some so severe, that they could not be ignored by any TA let alone the WTA.
DASA rejecting him only serves to underline that.
So am I worried about him turning up, not really.
I’m not because we’ve way, way more on him and some it places him in breach of numerous pieces of legislation as well as being morally repugnant as the politicians like to say.
Meanwhile, what has the WTA or anyone in it done wrong?

Now your starting to think like me.
He is simple to defend against.
My old law professor always said to me, when pushed into the corner throw everything at it including next doors kitchen sink if necessary, but do it fast and hard.
With Ade we have a very some very important defences.
1, the laptop. He admits he owes the money, promises payment but it never arrives. If he starts, show the world in attendance the evidence. Bring a projector and put it on a biggest effing screen available. Let the membership see how he stole from their trade association.
2. There is a tape recording in existence from gas safe confirming he was not registered to undertake gas work but did in any event. Thats illegal. The evidence is kept secure but it is available. If necessary demonstrate it and again show the world what he is like, let’s see if they are happy about it.
3. Let all those in attendance see the facts and him for what he is and let them make up there own minds about him.
He plays a very dangerous game with the innuendo. Let’s deal in fact. His choice to play the game not ours.
Just my two penny worth.

ps Can’t make the meeting, never could as it clashes with the week I am in Spain stock taking one of my businesses over there.

Can we all agree this is okay to publish…

Leading on from the very successful Whitegoods Trade Association Conference in February this year the time has come for the more relaxed and informal September event to be held at the Hilton Hotel in Coventry. The September event is primarily aimed at appliance repairers in a relaxed occasion dealing with topics such as general trading conditions, information technologies and the general sharing of information tips and tricks to perhaps help make your business work a little better.
Of course, there’s always a little surprise or two along the road as is the norm with these events.
Although we do not issue an agenda for most of these events as it constrains the topics too much we feel, we can say that the following subjects are up for discussion:
Service software
Internet use and promotion (part 2)
Mobile devices – how can we use this technology better? And of course we will be discussing any business related information from the forums as well as general industry topics.
However, as this event is smaller and more intimate, places are limited as we do not hire the larger hall for the September event. Due to this we would ask that all attendees register their interest in advance so that we can organise catering needs, set up the meeting room appropriately and also to meet the hotel’s fire regulation requirements.
It is essential for the hotel that we have a list of attendees in advance. Apart from which, we would hate to have to turn people away because there is no space!
You can register online using the form available from this link or, you can email admin@whitegoodstradeassociation.org
Please bear in mind that places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Entrance tickets, as they were in February, are completely free of charge and will be issued in electronic form for use on a smartphone (iOS and Android) or as a PDF that you can print and bring along to the event.
Details of the Hilton Hotel can be found here:

Hi K
I do agree with Carl that we should put in no ticket no entry and tickets are sent out after registration so we can vet the requested ticket holders
