Been back this morning, not spurting out of the top of heat eaxchanger now but there is a small leak where the tube from the matrix slots into the pressure chamber.
Video in MP4 format here.

Jim.
EDIT. Thats a poor video, will try and convert the file.
Is this one any better?June 14, 2011 at 10:57 am #351287Martin

I have little doubt the problem is that the transfer tube to sump is restricted in some way. The cascading water from the matrix isn’t draining into the tub fast enough. Though the dispersal of water in the sump is helped to a great degree by the circulating pump bursting into life. Hence why I asked the question previously as to how quickly does it fire up. Once the pressure switch microswitch (F1) is activated it should help clear the water build-up preventing the water spilling out.

I did clean the transfer tube out on my first visit to fit the parts but removed it again today to make sure it was clean. pump seems to knock on before all of the water has drained into machine, you can just hear it if you turn the volume up really high. 🙂

:hmm: I’m somewhat at a loss here then Jim and struggling to give a positive solution tbh.
The fill sequence on these is timed and the module judges the amount of water it needs based on flow rate and not water level. It times the period between turning the valve on and when the pressure switch microswitch (F1) activates in order to determine the water level. Any overfill dealt with by the red float micrswitch (F2).
So maybe we have a module fault here?
I look forward to being advised otherwise by someone more qualified in the matter.

I will return and give it one more go, thankfully a long established customer, very nice family and very patient. 8)
Will check out the new pressure chamber for any moulding obstructions or similar.
