No, no, no. Motor won’t cut in until first fill detected, therefore it thinks it’s full already. As stated above, clear the transfer pipe and if neccessary clear the chamber where the pressure switch sits as well. Float is irrelevant to water inlet, only to water overflow.
Power off, of course.

right, I’ve cleaned the feed pipe, flexible one going from left hand side of machine to the chamber in the middle, and cleaned out that chamber.
No difference, machine still won’t fill, but runs, so it thinks it has water in it.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Have you re-set the machine electronically ? Just switching it off and on again won’t reset it . Look on the operation buttons and two should be marked ‘re-set’ . Push them together with the machine on and the appliance should go to end light and the pump should run. If you now switch it off and on , it should now be ready to have a new cycle selected and it shouldre-start from the beginning of the cycle .

I have the same machine too, it’s my wife’s. I charge her a favourable rate!
the washing performance before it got stuck on 1 min, it was greasy. I used the dishwasher degreaser, the professional type. It doesn’t make any difference – still stuck on 1 min and no heat (although there were a lot of heat on the last wash with the degreaser until I came to use the normal wash afterwards). So I decided to take the machine apart to check the heater, it appears to be fine, gave a reading of 24 ohms so I ruled the heater out.
Checked the matrix, it was crudded up on the bend on the top left corner, flushed it out with boiling water. The tiny pocket on the very top left corner is full of crud, rather tricky to flush it out, so it’s a case of persevering. I thought the first poster was mad to use drain cleaner but it seems to be the only way to get it out…I examined the pipes, it dawned on me that the dishwasher does not drain the water out directly but via the matrix. How daft is that? No wonder it gets crudded up!
I checked the pressure chamber, slight crud but cleaned it out. The salt chamber is dirty though I have used salt but not topped it up recently say 3 weeks. The salt light is on but there are some salt left. I live in a very soft water area. Will let you know how I got on…seems easier to buy a new matrix but sadly not available for this model according to my three suppliers.
PS – Why on earth this dishwasher got a double layer of skin? No wonder why it’s so heavy! Is it for quietness or insulation purposes?

Suggest you post your question in the Trade Spares forums together with full model number so that availability of spares can be confirmed. 😉
