ParticipantHi Dave,
The cycle to dry the towels was short lived as it finished rather quicker than normal and still leaving the towels hot and damp. The silver bars appear clean but will give them another go over. Any recommendations on how to do this properly or is it just the case of get a cloth and wiping? Theres no build up on them and they do look clean, but I can also appreciate we cant always see what is coating the sensor.

yes that should do it
after that its what you want to try and how much you want to spend. . Front sensor is the first one i would try as its under £20 from memory. you can see the probe sticking out if you lift out the filter and look down

ParticipantNot working unfortunately, still finishing with damp towels, getting dryer each time though lol
What is the connection between the silver bars on the inside of the drum and the sensor beneath the filter? Do I need to replace both? I dont suppose you would have a link to the correct part?

Moderatorthey all feedback to the board dampness sensor is the steel parts
the sensor at the fron and the rear are know as NTC’s these are electronic thermostats. they control the heat available and can sense dryness through temperature difference but i would have thought the steel sensor would take priority
from now its a trail and error problem, how mush do you want to change to try and fix it ?
as you can imagine i cant be certain any of this will cure the problem

ParticipantThanks Dave, I’m think if Im going to order some parts I might as well do it all in one go, what would be the 2nd and 3rd parts if the replacement front NTC sensor doesnt fix it………….

Moderatoritem 207 on the same diagram which is the rear sensor
it that does not cure it then it may be the board but thats over £200
as a long shot before you order anything. remove the heater (item 206) and just check its not partly blocked with fluff

ParticipantNo fluff on the heater…………….. lots of bloody screws to undo lol 😀
Thanks for your help, I’ll get 216 and 207 ordered and see what happens.
Dave you’ve been a massive help and it is definitely appreciated!! Stay safe!!

Moderatorto get the front sensor in you have to remove the front cover to the right of the condensor with the vent holes in . lift the dryer up and 2 of the clips can be released from underneath

ParticipantHi Dave,
Both sensors arrived this morning and I have now fitted both……… unfortunately it hasn’t fixed the issue.
Any other thoughts? There’s hot air going into the drum, air is being passed over the condenser, the filter is clean so is condenser, pump appears to be working, the heater is clear, the air inlet is also clear.
Thanks for your help!!

Moderatorproblem now is there is not much left apart from the heater and the pcb
have you tried taking all the connectors off the pcb and putting them back in case its a bad joint
