Might be a good item for UKW members to pool together on a bulk buy here?

Look at the link in Dave’s post earlier on in this thread.Dave_Conway wrote: http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ic&t=12180

I think Mike was referring to a supplier of thin jubilee clips, as opposed to the plastic, type that Dave is talking about.

I thought the plastic ones were thin? the only place I see them nowadays is on the little Whirlpool French top loader and from memory they are only abot 6-7mm thick and seem to be as strong as the metal variants

I agree that the crocodile type plastic clips will be just as suitable as the thin jubilee clips, Mike was just responding to an earlier post of mine referring to an old thread about these ‘use once’ type of metal clips. If this venture comes to fruition then I for one would not bother with the thin jubilee clips.

Cheers Mike
It just so happens I am collecting these clips due the amount of repeat failures of these heaters. the name is DETIKER and the particular one for those heaters is 28-39 and is only 5mm wide. These are worm drive so obviously re -useable.

I think that’s Oetiker, a Swiss or German firm. I had a look at their site last night in relation to this thread but I could only find links to suppliers to industry in vast quantities. The thinnest I could find was 7mm.
I thought the plastic croc types got wider in the bigger sizes, I know the smaller diameters can be thin.
I had this problem on a dishwasher connection a few weeks back. Right inaccessible b***er it was. After drying thoroughly and applying Debor, I wrapped some ordinary galvanised wire round it a couple of times and twisted the two ends together to tighten. (Saw my dad do this on his car radiator when I was a kid).

Replacing Ariston LV62 wash pump. Is there a hose clip kit available to order as well?

Not on Partfinder no, they’re all individual clips on there and you probably end up with the original “one use only” things 🙁

In the vauxhall dealers buying yet more van spares and on wall are some thin worm drive clips. Used the Norma 25-40mm to fit the three 31.6mm ariston LV62 circulating pump and no leaks. There are no slots in the band so no hose rubber extruding through the clip.
Other sizes were available.Regards

Are there any new developments on the narrow hose clip front? I’m trying to put right a cockup made by our local British gas engineer on a Bauknecht dishwasher. Amongst other things, he used cable ties instead of proper clips on the sump hose. The hose fell off when I was doing a resistance check on the drain pump, machine was full of water at the time! I see the genuine Whirlpool hose clips are nearly £10 each trade.
