Re: Smeg A 42 driving me mad!!!

Hi Caro… Im from Smeg Service UK (servevast) ive printed the thread of this forum and will seek further advice from Tony Remedios as to possible causes. I would be interested in the company / name of engineer visiting so that we can get even more info.

I have further info from Tony. The switch is the most likely cause, 811730220 – this however could have blown, depending on the circumstances, the clock, 816290347 (this is in the process of being superseded) and the safety stat, 818730566 or 818730550 depending on serial no. As you can see this can be quite complicated so i reiterate my question regarding the engineers details.

    Hi

Thanks again for everyone’s help on this! I have spoken to the engineers, who are happy for me to pass on their details.

They are BAS Domestic Appliance Repairs, tel 01223 423993 – Barry or Lee. Thank you for your help again!

Its not a name im familiar with – not on the Smeg list but that doesnt mean they are not able to repair or even access info we have here. I will ask Tony to call them.
