I’ve deleted about 10 posts this morning… 😀
Why do they do it though? What do they gain?
Ade
*Edit* And is it computer generated or is it real people signing up to post?

KeymasterLink popularity, SEO.
Robots they are known as, a rudimentary AI, so all PC.
I’ve started just deleting them again.

Not spammers but two new registrations today, cipprio and cipprio1371, both different e-mail addies, must be the same person:?
Perhaps I should just delete the one he hasn’t used to post. ❓

Username jossiegas5 appears to be posting from the Phillipines and has a signature link labelled my online appliances which leads to an SEO company.
The two posts made are not up to much nor is a post on another forum I spotted. Spammer testing the water perhaps?

Just deleted one from the ‘Waiting’ list. May be perfectly legit but I am not sure a username of Veryhugebustyman is appropriate. :rolls:

Received this e-mail today, anyone else get one?
Hi, My name is Lorie and I’m one of ukwhitegoods.co.uk readers.
I’d like to thank you for the excellent information I’ve found
on ukwhitegoods.co.uk, It’s always a great pleasure to read your articles
and I count to become a loyal reader.I live in Akron, Ohio where I try to increase the awareness on
the connections between energy efficiency and health among
my family and friends.I figured you might be interested in including a guest article
for ukwhitegoods.co.uk about a new research from a Oklahoma University
scientist that indicates how geothermal heat pumps consume less energy
and enhance the indoor air quality.Article in form of a little guide to help your readers to experience
with this topic and perhaps discuss the topic at hand. Please, take a minute to consider this; any support to spread information
that increase the awareness on energy efficiency and home air quality
would be appreciated. With your support we can educate the public about the dangers of
domestic air pollution and hopefully help someone live better.Either way, thanks for reading and keep posting your excellent
information on ukwhitegoods.co.uk.Hope you a good week.
Sincerely

KeymasterRe: Spam
Trevor today installed a new CAPTCHA system on the current platform to try to cut down on the spam and, since it’s gone live I have noticed a significant drop in spammers.
Hopefully that will cut down on the spam thing considerably.

I haven’t seen spam for a while now, so whatever you did seems to be good! Unless people are up earlier than me of course!

Definitely much better, I am only having to get rid of two or three of them from the new and waiting lists each day now. 8)
You can always move the odd wrongly posted thread if you feel the need Ade. 😆
