I zapped it before I read this. 😉
The sole purpose of the post was to promote his business.

Will be interesting to see who is ‘promoting’ it at the meeting. 😉
Will Jamie Parry be attending. 😀

Not for Thursday as well I hope. Not sure if I will be travelling down with Eddie Laycock or not yet.
To be fair he has never, ever mentioned Ade and we are in regular contact, even went to the footy together a couple of weeks ago. 8)

TBH Don, I doubt that they will show.
If they do, we are prepared. As are some that are looking for Ade’s head on a pike as, apparently, I’m not the only person he’s pissed off. In other words, take a number, get in line.
However in fairness I did shut down Eddie’s thread tonight and, as I said to him, I am hyper sensitive to anything Ade related.
I will concede that to some, it may well look to be a bit excessive but, I do feel that I have cause for clamping down on that, hard.
The reasons are really very simple, he set out to terrorise myself and friends trying to twist things to meet his ends and he failed. In large part he set out to destroy the WTA which is for me a labour of love and for a number of others as well, they don’t profit from it at all.
Yet, in the same breath, he copies (almost verbatim) the engineer search, gives it another label and charges for it. Then, expects myself and the WTA not only to endorse that but to promote it for him using UKW and the WTA as a medium to do that for a service that both provide for free.
I have to say, I was somewhat bemused by the “logic” that makes that okay.
Meanwhile he’s emailing everyone and their dog’s email that he can cull from the WTA to promote *his* new business venture, unsolicited and completely unsanctioned.
Then he blows up as that didn’t go to plan.
Que the abuse, the slander, the threats and so on.
Then he does the whole NAC thing, rebranded Find My Engineer (FME) which I presume failed.
Again he expects to be able to use UKW to promote that and take money of the guys, for what? The same thing they can get for free here?
Then, he copies the whole Rapport thing by now doing a call handling system. With the technical limitations that I have highlighted.
Oh and, in the interim, he and a mate think it’s okay to not only rip off the format of the forum but to rip off the content as well. Lovely people eh?
Now it might just be me but, I’d think that he has a real problem. Well, several actually but, to simply mimic what’s done here and rebadge it then charge for the same free service seems a bit off.
However, he tops that by thinking that it’s okay to come back (again!!) and post up another advert (again!!) to people he just wants money out of and on someone’s site he wants to screw over and cause harm to.
It will not happen on my watch and, I’m really sorry if that seems harsh but if you’d been on the receiving end of the abusive calls, texts and emails you may have a slightly different viewpoint.
I do.
So I’m really sorry but in the face of no innovation or anything new really, only an attempt to in essence steal money from the troops the way I see it, he can **** right off and find some other way to promote his empire.
All this and, he’s not even had the decency to ask or apologise.
In addition to all that, he’s just out to cause material harm to UKW and/or the WTA and that I cannot allow to pass.
I’ve no problem with competition at all but I do hold issue with blatantly ripping it off to the Nth degree and deliberately attempting to cause harm to others or, rip them off.
He’s obviously a bl00dy good salesman though as he’s managed to get a few people onside, perhaps they even hold a vested interest as has been mooted by others (not me), I have no clue why they help him. If it’s for free, he’s a better used car salesman than I understood him to be.
Consider the timing though.
Every time thins kicks off it happens to be right before a meeting. I can’t help think to wonder why that is. I suspect however that it isn’t rocket science.
From this I think you may have garnered a flavour of the man and, if that’s not enough, at least one other here can verify that the above is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} accurate and 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} truthful if not at least so close to it as makes no odds. I have no call to make up stories or give myself hassle where I don’t need it though as I’ve got enough sh1t to deal with that I really don’t need this crap.
Equally though I also have no call to try to cause him any harm, even if I could be bothered. To be blunt however, he’s not worth the effort in my view.

Don
I can confirm from personal experience everything Ken has said above.
In my view he is a pure, undisputed con man, nothing more!
He came to me some years ago via the WTA asking for help as his business was going tits up.
Believing him to be a good guy, I paid his VAT bill for him to ease the pressure. I then passed him on average 6 warranty calls a day on some gas jobs I had believing him to be gas safe registered.
I paid him £50 a call at the end of each week to help with cash flow, bearing in mind I wasn’t getting paid for another 60 days. This went on for 4/5 weeks.
I then get a call from my client regarding some complaint from a customer he had attended regarding his refusal to show the customer his gas safe ID card.
Cut a long story short, he wasn’t registered, he had allowed his registration to lapse many months before.
He dropped me right in the poo!
I immediately stop passing him work, pay him in full and got my own guys to go round and check all the work he attended. A good chunk of it needed additional work doing to make it right!
Because I won’t now talk to him, I start to get the abusive emails, texts and threats of violence to both myself and my family.
I had to obtain a court injunction to force him to stop contacting me.
As you can see, he is not a nice human being.
I will not be in the same room as him, I do not want to breathe the same air as him, I don’t trust its quality once it’s passed through him!

Only last week I took Eddie Laycock to Old Trafford with me. He asked me if I had seen or heard anything about the ‘Kitchen Rogue’ Vance Miller. I said that I had not heard anything for a long time.
What do you know, I have just deleted a spam post from someone registered as gemblek with the heading Stil Haus Kitchens Vance Miller.
Looks like he is operating from Warrington these days. :rolls:

It was in one of the boxes that come up across the forum pages at the top and bottom, it was in the public forums, assume those are Google?
