Not sure.

But, VB *should* be able to hook into Stop Forum Spam which we lost on a BB update, very annoyingly as that did reduce it. So I hope to get that back up and running shortly.

BTW, there will be some pain in this upgrade… just saying.

Once it’s sorted, it’ll be a lot better but, it needs sorting first.

I’ve got Sudeep looking at a mod for the forum that allows us a one-click ban!

Essentially that means it’s one button and all posts, PM’s and the user are all zapped in a single click. Useful for the bots etc.

Was trying to delete a spam thread, not sure if I succeeded or someone else was doing it at the same time. Seems the forum is not as secure as we thought.

What is strange looking at the screen grab I did before I apparently deleted it there is no name on the first post in the thread which is dated 2006. ???

Yeah, I deleted a load of those older ones yesterday as the new search made it so, so much easier to find them and there’s some (I think) that date back to the original forums of yesteryear like that.

It was me Jim I was looking at banning but when I tried to carry out the action it wouldn’t let me so I guess you just beat me to it 🙂

You might want to blitz new member adrainsmith, he has just found a spam message from eight years ago about Halloween and replied to it with more spam. I have deleted the topic. Note deliberate miss spelt adrian.
