We suffer from this in Church life ,it’s called the Few doing the Much for the Many.
Sometimes as Ken says people will see a post and agree with it ,for instance we saw two posts both syaing spares prices were a major concern I wonder how many people saw that post and thought “too right” but didn’t post either cause they were worried about being seen to repeat what someone sisd already or they couldn’t be bothered .
Why not pull off the suggestions as they come -Albeit Slowly ,and set up a poll and ask for opinion as well even if it’s the same as every one else ,that gives us an instant idea of what peoples major concerns are ,and evidence to corrobarate us when we tackle someone on it.
Of course don’t forget if people don’t post suggestions then we have to set the agenda to keep things moving ,then they will come out of the woodwork and post to say they disagree 😕 😆

To bring this one back on topic…
One of the reasons I said (there are many) to host the forums here is this kind of press and referral that we get which was posted on MSE…
They get recommended all the time on the ‘in your home’ forum but, as I’m so delighted with the advice I’ve got for free this week, here’s a big recommendation for the ukwhitegoods website and forums.
The site gives great advice and the forums are excellent. I’ve saved money when trying to choose a washing machine and I’ve posted when I’ve had problems with appliances. I was so fed up with a problem I’ve been having with my fridge that I was thinking I needed a new one (as it is way out of warrantly). One post later, it appears my problem could well have been solved in about five minutes.
Many of those posting answers to the problems are in the trade and I can only think they are doing themselves out of business by giving all that advice for free!
If you are thinking of buying an appliance or have a problem, take a look before you do anything else.
Peartree
PS And I also find I understand the replies which is more than I do when I’ve posted problems on some of the AV advice forums
The person took the time to post that just to say thanks, even though it’s not published on here and, it’s not the only one by a long way. What I’m hoping for is a play on recognition. 😉

Money Saving Expert.
Just a post that was on there about us, one of many, which I’m hoping is getting all we lowly engineers a better name. 😉

Not impressed with one thing, just entered my own post code and Hotpoint washer. Tried it a few times and the system seems to be randomly selecting three options from four possibles.
City Service
Appliance Service ( AUL)
Patersons ( serial overchargers)
And myself. The nearest of those is five or six miles away.
Now is is very nice to see the WTA link at the side of my name but if my name doesn’t even come up for my own address on at least 2 attempts out of five its small wonder I rarely get work from Repairs@

Little steps. 😉
The trouble is you don’t want it too “in your face” but at the same time to get the message across, so softly, softly.

Still working on repair@ to get it to what and where I think it should be.
However…
We may well get some free PR in the coming weeks as John and I have been a little busy with a few things, hence the whole being quiet thing, as we’ve had a bit to do. What we’ve tried to do is get the WTA along with the rest all noticed in the industry. We think we may have made some progress but, like most things, it’s not like flicking a switch.
But we ain’t sat about doing nuffin’. 😉

Well the WTA site has made it onto the 4th page at Google already. 8)
After three pages of tennis sites etc. Near the top of 1st page if you enter the full title.
