If you have too many apps and stuff open all at one time on an iPad these problems occur. Rebooting helps but try closing all background apps first? I’ve had this with Tapatalk before but even more annoyingly when an email I wrote wouldn’t send. Instead it kept getting put in my outgoing mailbox. I closed all open apps and away it went!

I do close background app on a regular basis, this problem has only occurred twice recently, will see how it goes. 😉

I’m getting API expired when ever I use Talktalk, guessing an update is needed on the server

Yep, my Tapatalk is also up to date and I cannot replicate that error.
I’m responding on an iPad so it is working fine.
Can you check that you are using a current version of Tapatalk and there are no updates that you need to apply?

I’m using Tapatalk HD and it’s fine.
We’ll look at it anyway. It does it work okay after the nag screen?

Just delete the app then download again from the App Store.

‘this forum is running an old version of Tapatalk, some features may not work correctly’. ❓Jim.

Guys,
Just so you can perhaps understand a little better and, please take this as kindly as possible…
It’s working fine on testing but yes, the Tapatalk plugin does need upgraded so far as I can see.
UK Whitegoods forums is a quite heavily customised version of PHPBB3 to suit our needs, largely for security reasons but also for some specific needs that have been requested by members.
That means that any new code needs to be tested and made sure that it won’t break things before it is implemented. That takes time and effort.
Now, as shocking as this might be, I nor anyone else gets paid to do that. It is after all a free service provided to all with no return directly to me or the company at all.
But in order to upgrade I have to divert time and resources to make that happen.
Can you see the problem here?
We have a problem with time that needs allocated with little to no return for doing so. Therefore, it’s not regarded as a priority.
And I am truly, truly sorry but that’s the stark reality.
If you can come up with some way of generating an IT geek’s salary that will come up to somewhere around £40-50K PA from nothing then I will happily put someone on that PDQ but, failing that you’ll all just have to reign it in until we have time to look at it.
Or, you can of course ask for a refund from UKW or Tapatalk.
Good luck with either.
Or you can harass Indesit et all to pay for their advertising like I do so that I can actually be made to think that keeping all that up to date is a worthwhile endeavour and allocate the resources to make it happen.
It’s a team sport, not just my personal responsibility and it’ll get done when it can get done and there’s nothing else more important or pressing.
I hope that’s not too harsh but if it is, sorry.
K.
