I think you are right Bazza.

I took the top of it and couldn’t see any cooling fan. But I did turn the electric on to try and pinpoint the source of the noise and it does appear to be coming from the clock. I guess it always made that noise but I probably just picked up on it as I was waiting the oven to explode after my DIY attempts.

Anyway I guess that means job well done thanks to the wonderfully kind of assistance of Bazza and Adrian. Hot food for dinner tonight hooray!!
