i read the above to mean f16 am i correct as apparently f16 is not usedDanny

THESE are the full error codes for that machine.
All error codes given by flashing lights. What you seem to be reporting although its not that clear from your post 😉
is not an error code, possibly bad connections or faulty facia PCB.Jim.

this says that the errors are reported by the program indicator lights ie wash rinse spin end door lock with the door lock being number one in this case i have door lock light lit wash rinse spin end prewash and end lights are dark so i get the code on off off off off hence f16 which by your post as well ways n/a
all the options lights super rinse etc flash constantly
are you stills aying you think this is a bad connection or am i reading these error wrong somehowbloody stupid hotindesaristpointless machine

All the error codes are given by FLASHING the right hand programme lights. The options lights are not used for error codes so you do not have F16.Re: wdl 520

states that the light should be lit solidly to indicate the error and thats what i get
it says light 1 is door lock light thats lit none others are

Why?
If the door lock light is on steady and the option buttons are flashing then either then facia PCB or the wiring is at fault.
The link I gave you is correct, the ones you are linking to are wrong, all error codes on these machines are given by flashing lights, not steady, non flashing lights.
IT IS NOT AN ERROR CODE
I think EMW will test/repair these now, best to send both boards just in case.

going to replace the top board and check the wiring if thats no good then off goes another board to emw

I did send you a message yesterday asking for an e-mail address to send you the tech info on this machine, PM me if you still want it.
It is the programme procession lights that give the error messages, but not with steady lights, only flashing ones.

another update noticed the machine works till the motor is needed then it does not work if i listen to the pcb i hear a click from the relays tapped relays with screwdriver machine now works fine i shall change the relay i assume ones faulty and my bash dislodged something

Have you resolved this one Danny ? I have the same symptoms but seemingly when filling in the rinses.

I think you may have released the motor brushes and they are now making contact. Check the brushes they should be about 1 inch or more if they are only about 1/2 inch then replace. Common fault on Hotpoint where door locks but nothing else happens

This may be the 680uF (on the main board) on its way down.
Read simple pcb repairs sticky.

wasnt the 680uf i have done enough of those to spot that
wasnt the brushes it was defiantly cured when i tapped the pcb which was out of the machine at the time
have no idea if that is the same fault as you get on the rinse but i have come to the conclusion that these machines are not of very good standard
