    more update on this part have been told its the same thermal fuse as fits on heater part No 8572767 but not shown or listed on diag.

    over 3 weeks, and despite being given 1st hand info at the beginning, still running round in circles :rolls: :rolls: :rolls:

    If you knew the temperature it opens at, you could probably find a generic one from an electronics supplier such as RS or Farnell. The temp. might be written on the old one or might be determined by forced reset and testing.

    One shot trips at 178C if that helps anyone.

    Had a look around but 178 is a difficult temperature to find for a thermal fuse or cut off of any description. 🙁 . I’ve a feeling manufacturers use these odd values for this very reason. 👿 (Like HTP’s 106). I’ve a feeling it could be flexible but not too much obviously.

    Anyone else found out since which part number this cut out is. I’ve been going in circles all weekend trying to find it. Latest number (American) is 3403607 😥

    Thermostat is the one on the pic part no 480112100395.
    In my hand for £20 inc from http://www.whirlpoolparts.co.uk 😀
