If you knew the temperature it opens at, you could probably find a generic one from an electronics supplier such as RS or Farnell. The temp. might be written on the old one or might be determined by forced reset and testing.

Had a look around but 178 is a difficult temperature to find for a thermal fuse or cut off of any description. 🙁 . I’ve a feeling manufacturers use these odd values for this very reason. 👿 (Like HTP’s 106). I’ve a feeling it could be flexible but not too much obviously.
