The spout is steered by an arm and a cable on the top of the soap box. This is what squirts water into the different parts of the soap drawer. By pulling it out, you have disconnected the arm and cable, so even if you can jam it back into the hole, it will not direct the water correctly.

Do not attempt to operate the machine without the spout in place – water will shoot out of the top of the soap box and Noah will be round to your house trying to sell you a boat………

Ok, point taken penguin! I have white goods cover with domestic and general, I’m sure they can sort it from me? After all, It’s a breakdown-even if it was brought about by my overwhelming desire to get the soap drawer as clean as a whistle?
