ParticipantGlad to see JP’s reared his head above the parapet, thought for moment he didn’t know how to use a computer?Or have you been busy installing an air con unit!
For all the folk who havn’t been to the Queensgate Hotel b4, Dont get into Peterborough and drive round the Queensgate area,(which several of us have done b4 ). Instead follow the signs for the football ground its about 500yds away from the Hotel on a traffic light junction.

KeymasterJust to whet your appetite, up for discussion is the following at the meeting on the 3rd:
Prices of Appliances
Prices of spares
Gas work
Rates
DASA
Abortive calls, who pays ?
Spares mark up (contract work)
Liability insurance
Minimum standards we should adhere to
The UK white goods site and what it can do for us
Putting accounts on stop – Tactics to get even!
Work providers (do we need them)
Repair network of independents, is it viable? If there’s anything else that anyone wants on the agenda please let us know and we’ll see what we can get around to as obviously there’s a lot there as is to go into and we’ll probably get pushed for time.
Neil or Mark, is there any chance you could prepare a short run down on DASA for us for the any non or lapsed members to encourage them to sign up or renew their membership?
The intent is to have an informal atmosphere and an open discussion on all the above subjects and more besides no doubt, but Neil has the chair to control my babbling! 😉
Oh and apparently all this is followed by some drinking spree so I’m told! 😀

Best bet is to all meet at the Travel Inn for the white goods meeting as it’s just off the AI, then after that we can follow the people who know where the Queensgate is, leave the cars there, check in, clean up then get out on the p*ss. Well that’s what I’m gonna do anyway 😉

ParticipantOn a serious note, do we meet in the bar of Brewsters 1st?
Do we need a strategy so we know each other? I will have a badge with my name on so I know who I am. No it hasn’t got my age on it, they don’t go that high. You will work out who I am by the West Country accent, “Me Luvver”.
It may be an idea if one of us has something like a logo’ed carrier bag so we recognise others who are are part of the meeting.
I hope to be there between 11 & 12. I haven’t yet decided on the Dasa meeting as I may have pressing commitments otherwise, I will go if possible but it looks unlikely.
See you on the day.

The room for our meeting is booked in the company name of ukwhitegoods using my name as a reference as I booked it, we can either meet there or as you say in Brewsters bar next door.

Perhaps we could all carry regional offerings, Alex you bring the pasty and I’ll bring the cider 😉

I think it will be fun trying to guess who we all are. Is that Mr Ucker turning up?
I have met Alex briefly before and we will all know Neil as he is the one always SHOUTING.September 4, 2003 at 5:59 am #104265kwatt
KeymasterWell so far so good, yesterday went fine and everyone seemed to enjoy it as it was a breath of fresh air to be able to talk inside a meeting room the way we would normally talk outside of it! 😉

Dave.I didn’t quite get that Dave Just off the A1 you say R U sure. An emotion here me thinks 😳
For those whom did not attend you missed it, Dave, Ken and Neil all went to the wrong place (OH dear oops) despite the GPS and despite a tour round Histic Peterborough, they still got lost. Erm just off the A1 did you say Dave.
For those who had to leave before the evening meal, it was nice to meet you, you missed a good laugh and a drunken evening untill about 2.30 am, we all showed ourselves up, had a giggle and for our sins felt rough in the morning.
Any way, it was nice to put faces to names, I have some pics to send to Ken so Ken can put them up on the site if he wants.
An excelent meeting with good company, embarasing moments, and those of you whom did not come I can assure you, you will not want to miss the next one.
Now where did I put those Smirnoff vodka bottles ah yes the girl in black from the floating , what was her name again? er!!!!! 🙄 😆
