Were a “new” subscribers group to be formed, I could see no advantage to my joining it. The WTA is the development of the original group and, as a founding member, I’m very proud of what it is trying to do.

Well it will have been almost a year since the creation of the
“whitegoods trade association ” come next weeks Mtg .
What have we acheived in our first year ..

    Photo ID cards

    Discount Fuel Scheme

    Discount on Vauxhall Vans

Things that we are on our way to acheiving …

We are investigating the current new consumer legislation and its implications to our trade

We are part way to completing a trade guide for anyone entering the industry

We are develpoing a Code of Practice relevant to our industry

We are negotiating a discount offer with regard to spares

We are trying to combat things as they appear whilst working in the background on some fundamental things that will enhance the working conditions of all those that work in the Whitegoods industry.

    I would like to thank

    Re: Whitegoods Trade Association

TBH Martin, apart from being factually incorrect in some areas, close to correct in others, I would have thought that the TA forum was the place to have such as discussion and, given that I do not feel that this is the appropriate arena for the discussion that you want, I will not be answering any of the points you raise before they are discussed by members of the appropriate body.

Or do you need the attention from a larger audience for some reason? The danger in that of course is that, should you make a fool of yourself, you also do that to a larger audience.

Being a member of that body and having access to have that discussion in a more appropriate setting, I can only assume that as so many of your ramblings seem to be, that this is only done for devilment. But until you can conduct yourself appropriately I have feel no compunction to answer, in fact, I skim read it as a lot of it is just garbage IMO with you revisiting old ground you and, so far as I recall, you alone has dragged up.

But as usual you just whinge about what you think isn’t right and yet offer no answers, only perceived problems that many others can’t see exist.

I will also tell you that I have several people calling wondering what the hell you’re on about, 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} so far don’t get what you’re actually on about.

It’s dead simple though Martin, if you’re not happy, don’t pay the subs and drop out. Job done, then it’s nothing to do with you and, not your problem. Likewise, you’re not the TA’s problem either. That may well be a mutually happy answer.

That all said, just look at the post above from Lawrence and the list of things that have been achieved or are in progress then can you honestly say that, in just coming up on a year old, that the work that everyone has poured in has been for nothing?

There’s a lot more could be done but, sadly, there’s no benefactor throwing money at it to get more done and, quite frankly, that’s what it would take to do more.

If you accept the point above, then you have to accept also that, regardless of who you get to sponsor the efforts, would be accused by you, as I read it, of being too close, having other interests or whatever. So you’ll never be happy regardless of what happens.

Therefore, it’s just not worth discussing it with you as it’s a conversation going nowhere.

I really must strive to be more lucid in future. 🙂

I suspect there’s a major refurb of the WTA website going on right now?

That might explain why emailing the various optional addresses directly from the site bounces back as “failed to deliver, address unknown”? 😕

What email addresses Martin, so far as I am aware they are all working?
