I would if there was evidence of having a robust ethical and environmental policy, but being owned by the Chinese government doesn’t fill me with confidence about workers’s rights within the supply chain. Maybe Richard as an employee you might know more about this?

Sorry Saz but I retired 30 months ago, but I can assure you that when I worked for Hisense their employment record stood up to all the European regulations.

my only brush with Hi-sense was poor a poor quality fridge less than 3 years old that had failed. Part needed to fix it was a silly price as other more expensive makes were cheaper for the same part
If hi-sense want a better reputation it wants to work with the independent engineers, make spares and tech info easily available and listen to concerns when things don’t work properly and fix it

In Europe or in China?

Let’s face it, with the like of Foxconn having to install nets to catch people jumping to top themselves and, that’s Apple who are meant to be the cream of the crop and in the spotlight on human rights, doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in all the rest.

And Hisense haven’t exactly got a glowing record….
