A set of PDF documents that you can email to people looking for information.

Welcome note/letter
Benefits available
Do they want their name forwarded for contract work
Please renew letter to send with renewals
Thanks for renewing letterThat should keep you amused on Friday morning.

It was only suggestions. 😉
You can put it up on the WTA site easily but I was more thinking for email responses. So Barry etc. have something to send people.

Something to send people would be good coz at the moment I don’t even have an application form. 😕
I also have people asking for log-ins… what are they?
I certainly think we need a system in place where we can send stuff out to people when they enquire and also i have people saying they have paid and then not heard anything more. What do we send to people once they have paid? They should get a certifacate but I don’t have email addresses so if they don’t request one on the forum I’m a bit snookered.
Definately think the joining and renewals need to be slicker and thought through.

Sending stuff by email is ok, but I think a more proffessional image is needed.
We need to get some glossy A4 style card folders with the same design as the wta pull up banners we have, keep the same theme and format throught out on the paper work.Steven

lets see if we can use the publicity dept at Qualtex ,a basic folder with the WTA logo on it then we can put in seperate A5 flyers with all the people that support us i.e qualtex, masterpart, amica etc,we do need a standard response PDF for Barrie though .
we also need to actually work out what the benefits of WTA membership areJuly 22, 2011 at 11:03 pm #354921kwatt

Hence the SWOT analysis at least that helps us drill down what the key things are, what are short term aims ,long term goals ,time frames then work out who does what best and then get on with it..

Your sounding like Yoda again 😆
I agree
But I sometimes think people don’t know what they want ,It hacks me off ,you secure work with a manufacturer ,spares discount ,the opportunity to meet and network ,you show them where the small guy is losing money and how sometimes the small guy is the actual cause of that loss, and what do you get in return
wheres my IDcard ,I have paid but what do I get in return ,we need to be regulated ,why are we not like DASA, your just UKW under another name ,things don’t happen quickly enough etc soddin etc :rolls:people miss the whole “people like you, doing all this for people like you ” tag actually means we have businesses to run ,restraints on time etc as do other people .
There feel better now ,sorry rubbish at moment, eldest daughter 15 tomorrow ,youngest daughter comes home from school camp this afternoon complaining of stomach cramps and is rushed into hospital with suspected gastro-enteritis,and is there with Debs as I speak..

I think we should spend Thursday evening going back in time! We should go back to that night in Sibson when the WTA was just a thought and re-visit what we said, what we wanted and what was important to us as we began the WTA.
I remember being mighty exited about the OFT! That to me was a huge deal that would secure the WTAs ‘Stature’ within the trade. A lot of effort went in to that, from the development of the code, to the trips to London… Where is it now?
Basically, I’m saying before we talk about ID Cards, spares discounts etc… Should we get back on track regarding a ‘Biggie’? I.e OFT Approval or even Trustmark etc if the OFT is dead? Personally, I think we need something there to back us up as a small TA.
The TA Forums. We should join. I mentioned it a few months back but nothing has been pursed. We can then be listed on there as a TA, and attend there conferences etc if we feel that we would benefit by meeting other TAs throughout the UK. Also from what I gather, government people also attend the TA Forum conferences, so it might be worth a thought? At the end of the day, it’s a Logo that we can add to the WTA Website and it’s another new story to go on the homepage “WTA Become TA Forum members” 😉
I for one would hope, that if we agree the WTA is pursuable, then any changes we decide Friday, are actually done on Friday or very soon afterwards by the nominated person. As things sometimes get forgotten about when we leave Kilmarnock IMO, and we are talking about the same thing the next time we meet!
For what it’s worth, my gut feeling is the WTA could be huge. We could achieve so much if we all stay motivated, have the right members on the council, keep in touch, keep focused and ‘Allocate’ a set few hours every week to commit to WTA work.
Other than that, I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday!
Ade 🙂

I agree it would not hurt to see how the others do it and then do it better!
The need for new fresh ideas and people to be on board is a priority and those with skill sets that are vital for the benefit of the TA and members.I know there were some names mentioned i think George (allsorts) and Dave jones!
George has probably got a lot to give he has hand in on the environment side etc?
Time is prescious and we all have families and businesses to run so getting the right people with the skills is going to be a challenge in its self.So with this is it a good idea to invite the members to volunteer at this point see what the interests are?
If so we can then vote on it as well?We are different to the other TA’s yes we are small with big ideas. I know we are trying to run sometimes before we can walk, so as Ade said need to take a step back and review the concept from sibson.
We represent mainly small independants working from home, the likes of retra and dasa who are for businesses with more than one outlet and large numbers of staff etc and they have finacial contributions from associate membership there in bed with manufactures. All this we probably wish to avoid.Yet we still need to offer something different something niche that appeals to all.
PS
I have had a couple of emails to date.
One about tecnical stuff and the other about customer care comment in the cop.!
If you want me to forward emails to all let me know?Steven

In regards to the post I put on the forum, either everyone is happy the way things are and the way the TA is run 😆
Or they just cant be arsed to reply. :rolls:
Maybe we need to carry out an update of all there details we have on file where we can send email and or a letter of some kind requesting feedback, too late now but for next time before we have our meeting?
