Welcome to our world of washing machine repairing, well away from California. 🙁

No simple answer there my friend, you just have to go with it best way you can.

Beware it’s connected to 240volts……. :zap:

No hair left on my head now – in sheer desperation I turned the machine upside down so I could get a closer look. Took off the sump hose completely and guess what!!! There was a 1″ long and 1/4″ wide jagged hole in the inside of the drum housing collar….goodness knows how that got there! I guess that was what the blob of silicon was bunging up. I have tried to fill the hole using JB Cold Weld Epoxy and leaving it for 24 hours to cure. Let you know the outcome…..

Ooooh dear! Turning it upside down is a major error that usually brings about lots of additional problems when you stand it back up and switch on…….!
