Hi.
Using a suitable resistance test meter, if you measure across the recirc. pump terminals, it should read approx 180-200 Ohms. If anything outside this, you need a new recirc. pump.

Hi Spin Doctor,
I have already fitted a new Circulating Pump as you had advised me earlier before I tried to get the Main PCB repaired.
I checked the new pump again by disconnecting J1 edge connector from the Main Board and connected my meter to terminals 1 and 10 on it, which is were the 2 wires from the circulating pump are connected to. The reading was 199 ohms.
I would very much appreciate any further help you may have.
Regards.

If you are measuring a good reading from the circ. pump from the board connections then the board itself must be faulty.

qer again… 😯
ive always sent my zan/elux/aeg boards to emw… asking for the ones ive sent them to be repaired, ratehr than swapped over, even if it takes a couple of days extra. so far so good – not had a problem with the boards when refitted 🙂
is it not possible that the module might need reconfiguring if qer have just swapped it over ???

If it is a configuration code issue then it will be a code in the E90 range, not E85.

Thanks very much gandh1 for your helpful suggestions but EMW do not repair this particular Zanussi board.
It was my own PCB that was returned. After it did not work in the machine I did a diagnostic test and then checked the configuration.
I did not know how to do these tests until about a month ago. I have to thank these forums on UK Whitegoods for this extra knowledge.
All advice is very much appreciated.

Hi all again.
I want to upgrade this thread.QER said they believed the board was good so I was reluctant to spend more money on a new board. Then I checked back on what TheSpinDoctor had told me previously, that if my Ohm readings were correct then the board must still be faulty.
So I eventually decided to buy a new Electronic Module.
On the last Saturday in June I picked up, and fitted the new Module to my daughters Zanussi washing machine, which I had ordered 8 days earlier from a local parts supplier. It cost £94, which was a lot, less than I had understood from some advertisements.
After I had configured it and started a wash programme, I anxiously watched to see if water was pumped over the inside of the door from the circulation pump.
It was a great relief to see it flowing and it went on to finish the wash.
It has been working perfectly for the last 2 months.I am sorry to have been so long from my last reply on this thread but I had to stay in my son’s home to look after his youngest son during the school holidays, which started the next week. I am just home permanently yesterday.
I would like to thank TheSpinDocter very much for his invaluable diagnosis and help which he gave from the start of this thread without which I do not believe I could have fixed this machine, and also everyone else who contributed.
Thanks and Regards to all,
