ParticipantHello
I have a zinussi Lindo300, zwf91483wh, 91491040101 which gives error code E66.Can someone tell me what this refers to, and what I can do about it?
Thanks
Nick

Error codes are HERE
Not good news, suggests a fault on main circuit board.

Thanks,
Just my luck, always the most expensive bit!
I understand that it is either the relay on the board or a earth leakage problem with the heating element. If it was the later I would have thought the supply RCD would have popped. Or does the control board not let that happen?
BTW how much is a new board, and where would I get one
Thanks
Nick

You would need to give us the full Pnc number from the rating plate for us to give you further info, number starts with 914******.
Slight current leakage on the dryer heater is a common fault on Zanussi machines assuming it is a washer dryer and often causes all sorts of spurious error codes without doing any damage to the board. It is fairly easy to temporarily disconnect the wiring connectors from the dryer heater to test.

No, it is just a washer, so
Pnc number 91491040101
Model number zwf91483whThanks

A very slight current leakage from the wash heater may not even trip an rcd. Only way to test an element is with a megger, not a multimeter.
Part number of main pcb configured is 973914910401012, although doing a search for that number is unproductive.:(Looking at the price of similar modules in the online store here at UKWG’s is not for the faint hearted, all around the £140/£160 mark.

Time to dig the Megger out then!
And see what it tells me and what my options are.
Thanks for finding the part tedwards101.June 6, 2018 at 8:20 pm #456201Nick42

OK, I don’t like the look of this.
The megger indicated high leakage when connected between either the pos or neg terminal and the earth terminal on the heater element. I didn’t wind the megger up to full voltage because of this, switching to a normal meter showed a resistance of 4~6 meg ohms.
On the advice of a friend whilst the heater was disconnected I re-ran the diagnostic check and it still failed with the E66.So is this indicating that both the heating element and the controller have failed or should I still get the error message.
Thanks
Nick

Did you actually try running the machine with the wires disconnected?
The last error will remain in memory unless cleared.June 7, 2018 at 4:15 pm #456203Nick42

Yes I did try running the machine without the heater connected, got the same error code as before. That I now know was due to my not clearing the earlier code – so how do you clear error codes?

Not at home now so don’t have access to tech info. If no one replies I will look it up tomorrow.

Yes, I’m at home now to (with a growing pile of washing), so having the code would be really useful 🙂

Possibly translated from Chinese so here it is. 🙁
14.1 LAST ALARM READING AND RESET
The alarm indication is also used when the user interface (UI) enters LAST ALARM mode, that is when the user pushes the “special key” combination while the board is in normal mode or when the main knob is set to the 11th position while the board is in diagnostic mode.
Information “last alarm reading and reset” ? While this mode is set, it’s possible to read the code of the three latest alarms, starting from the most recent. ? Each time the leftmost key (Perfekt 10, Pilot 2 or POne levels) or upper button (Blue Fire levels) in the “special key” combination is pressed, the UI starts displaying the following alarm code among those stored in memory. So, if this button is pressed once while the last alarm was being displayed, the last but one alarm is displayed instead; after the key is pressed again, the last but two alarm code is shown. ? Pressing at any time the rightmost key START/PAUSE button in the “special key” combination the displayed sequence comes back at once to the latest alarm. ? It’s possible to reset Last alarm pressing the defined key combination (START/PAUSE and the closest one for every UI) when in Diagnostic mode with selector in 11th position.June 9, 2018 at 9:34 am #456207Nick42

That is more challenging than fixing the machine 😆 😆
