as i said above you need to host them offsite on google pics or similar
    then post a public link

there are size constraints on here to save server space

tny276pn next to the small yellow transformer

    there are lots on Ebay

also the is a diode next to it. if you have a multi meter we could do with checking that as well

The diode, just below tyn276 and numbered D1, gives a fluctuating reading up to 19 then settles back to 1, thats on a resistance setting of 20k. I can’t get a reading from tyn276, but I’m not quite sure which two contacts to use.
Where can I buy such a diode?

Many thanks for all your help, Dave, it is very much appreciated indeed.

you wont get any reading on the tny you just have to swop it to find out

has the meter got a diode testing setting ? most have

put your leads on the diode then reverse them. if you get the same both ways then its suspect

its probably ok then. if it goes short both reading would be the same.
also now thinking about it when they fail the machine does not work at all
    so its probalby the chip

Hopefully I will get the chip towards the end of the coming week. I’ll let you know how the repair goes.
In the mean time, once again, thank you for all your help.

    Dave,

I have soldered in the new piece, I don’t think too good a job unfortunately, now when the power is back on all the programs are mixed up. I think perhaps a new machine is now required.

are you sure u got the knob and shaft in correctly as what you have repaired cant jumble the programmes

turn the knob till it turns off and see where its pointing

Yes, if I turn the knob to ‘wool’ it turns the machine off so it is 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} further along. I’ll take the pcb off again and try to see what I have done wrong!

    Dave,

That’s it finished and working! Many, many thanks for all your help and knowledge, I simply could not have done that on my own. And thanks to uk whitegoods.

    With best wishes
