    Good evening all,

The above washing machine will not wash/agitate on a wash cycle, yet will perform perfectly on a spin cycle.

Not sure how to conclusively test the motor or board for such a fault, and wonder if this is a known problem?

I realise there are other electronic specialists, and I may well have sent the board to the now closed EMW Electronics for testing….

p.s. I did check the motor brushes, and the wiring to and from the motor but had to get to another job!

As long as the insulation resistance on the motor is good then the mere fact that it spins correctly means that the motor is good and that you will be looking at a board fault.

    bit of a long shot

have you checked the board for bad relay solder joints

can you hear the relays clicking as the relays change as the motor is supposed to be reversing

    Thanks for your help gents,

No, I didn’t have time to visually check the board.

However, I’m pretty sure there’s no clicking from the relay…

    Will return and test further.

    Thanks again.
