Hi. I’ve read the buying guides and the notes on Mercury, but just wondered if anyone has any experience with or thoughts on the Mercury 120 induction range cooker? I’m trying to decide between it and the Rangemaster Elise 110 induction. Many thanks.

A new one is just a Rangemaster in disguise I’m afraid.

Thank you for the advice. Any thoughts on the Elise 110 induction, which is around £3.5k?

Normally, before recent events, I’d have said to look at Bertazzoni but they’ve gone a bit mental with parts as explained here:

    Right To Repair Effectiveness

I know that my not hold much bearing to people looking at a shiny new cooker but, when you need parts down the road and, you’re dropping a few grand on a cooker trust me, it really does matter, a lot. You need to be sure you’re going to get a long life out it and at a sensible cost.

RM are okay but some of the parts pricing and programming of the induction stuff if it goes wrong is, bluntly, horrific.

Ilve are still a decent bet in that arena as well.

Smeg are also well worth looking at also.
