ParticipantProduct No: 7757186320
Serial No: 19-102658-12Hi all
I have been to look at this induction hob today after it went bang and confirmed that one of the IGBTs on the power board had failed, I am going to try repairing the module for the customer first and if not replace it but noted that this unit is barely 2 years old.
I had a look at the pans that the customer is using and they do say that they are induction compatible but they look like they are a composite pan of the style which Rangemaster say not to use as they shorten the lifespan of the hob. Does Beko have any tech bulletins on this and is there any other service info available for them.
Thank you
Jem

ParticipantThanks Dave
Unfortinatley I don’t think that they registered it (put in by kitchen fitters with the rest of the kitchen) so if I can’t mend the power board then they may be looking at over £200 in parts (ouch!).

ParticipantIt will also require the filter board as it has blown the fusible link.

Moderatorpics in the service manual show fuse clips there to add a fuse if link breaks. Have seen this on other makes so could probably get the fuse value from other manufacturers. all you would need then is the solder in fuse clips
seem to remember rangemaster did it from the training at last conferenceDave

ParticipantAdding fuse clips and a fuse is part of my plan for repairing this hob, I think that it is only the IGBT that is blown on the hob though I will change the rectifier as well which will hopefully be a much cheaper fix for them.
Rangemaster use a 20A fuse – funnily enough I have to change one of their boards tommorrow for a communications problem.
