ParticipantHello,
I received yesterday from Amazon a new COMFEE’ mini-fridge that looks damaged.
Do you think I should return the item or is it acceptable?I paid it 100 euro on amazon and seller and delievry were from Amazon.
I checked again to make sure item was sold as new and it was.
Just doesn’t look new.
Strange the bottom of the cardboard box was not connected to the restPS
is that yellow foam on the bottom the polyurethane foam?https://i.imgur.com/FUxL7BU.jpg

Moderatoreven if you accept it you should not be paying full price for damaged goods
now you have had it on its side dont turn it on till its been sat upright for at least a few hours

Thanks Dave!
I only waited half an hour, hope it’s not too bad. It’s really hard for me to make a decision because I know so little of fridges and don’t really know what to look for.
I think I will wait a few days to see how it behavesApril 13, 2022 at 12:08 pm #481993electrofix
Moderatoryou must contact them immediatly to tell them of the damage. If you wait any longer they could argue its your fault and not carriers
As long as it works it may well be ok and they may well offer you a partial refund as compensation. Dont pay full price for damaged goods unless they are sold as second quality

Thanks I will.
Have you ever seen foam showing on the bottom of a fridge?
It’s that thing that worries me the most, it’s only on one side.
It looks like a second hand fixed fridge.EDIT:
This was the cardbox

ParticipantClearly hasn’t been handled correctly in transit and has been damaged. Personally I’d reject it.

Moderatorfoam is not a problem but there is damage to the metal work which means it been dropped or mis-handled
