Just received a video from a friend with a Miele Novatronic W864. Water has just started pouring out of what to me looks like the hinge on the pump access door. Any ideas of cause?

    could be

filter not tight if it coming out the tube on the filter door

    door rubber

or the tube out the soap draw see pic

also with its age check shock absorbers. non gens are cheap and worth changing

    got it

thats the filter not closed properly

on Miele to drain the filter you open it half a turn and it drains exess water out of that tube

the only way it can leak is either
    A its not closed properly
b the seal is damage or something is stopping it closing like a small stone (had that )

with those if they are original well worth checking shocks

if they bounce too much they damage the front motor contol board
