Hi, I have an aeg lavatherm 7000 and the dryer is not collecting water in the draw. It has suddenly stopped, and now all that happens is a lot of condensation In the utility room.

well that means the damp air is getting past one of the seals

are you sure the condensor is clear as well as the filters ?

The condensor was a bit blocked but as it fixed in the unit I cleared what I could. The filters are clean. The water pump is working..the front door seal has been replaced. I’ve checked seals and they seem fine.

It’s as though the water isn’t getting to the water pump

there is steam escaping into the casing

you just have to find out where

do my trick, fill it full of wet washing and with the lid off run the machine. then get a mirror or a pair of glasses and move it round to see if it fogs up

OK, there seems to be hot air coming out where the front of the drum. As it spins I feel it on my hand….should this be air tight?

you may get warm air blown around the case but the important thing is

is the air wet or dry

dry air is fine but if moisure is in it you have a seal problem
