model FDYF11011K can someone tell me how the temperature is sensed with this model, as I have replaced the heating assembly, being open circuit and F10. Now the customer has reported F10 again, and I wondered if there may be an overheating problem other than maybe shortage of water, which is triggering the safety cut out on element? Thanks Doug

parts listing shows a pressure switch, check water level and operation

the thermistor is attached as part of the module as far as i can see

Thank you for reply Dave. I could understand if the heater circuit runs through the pressure switch, and if made, with low water, could cause the safety stat to operate. I cannot see from hotpoint parts diagram, a thermistor or where it would be placed to register temperature, so I’m unsure how the control board would know when correct temperature is reached, unless somehow it senses from the in line thermostat fixed along with the overheat safety cut out on heater assembly, ie drop in watts used??

the pressure switch is a low voltage switch that tells the board when there is enough water in the machine

the thermistor is located in the sump
