well the last thing i would try is to read the coils from the pcb connector
if ok then i agree it does sound like a board as i cant think of anything else it can be
you could try one long shot
plug in one of your spare coils. dont put it in situe just plug in. turn on and see what happens.
does coil energise or does it go straight to fault
what i am wondering is how it senses coil. think it would only be able to sense it if its turned off. so what if the traic controlling the coil was leaky or shorted
