Hi all – have the above dishwasher (which is the Whirlpool re-badged). When the dishwasher is put on the hotter washes – 65c the machine works fine for the initial wash, but once on the hotter cleans, I hear the motor stuttering a lot (machine gun type noise). I’ve checked the spray arm to the sieve filter cover which was broken and replaced that (the retaining clips were broken causing the inlet pipe to occasionally pop out. However, still getting this stutter noise once the machine gets into the hot cycle. The motor works fine on the colder/shorter washes and even with the stutter dishes wash well so I don’t think there is an issue with the motor?

    Thanks

I’m wondering if there is a partial blockage in the pipework that is causing cavitation in the pump, as that would only happen with hot water.

Thks Tuba and Steve for replying. Just to update and help anyone…it turned into a drama!…I replaced the pump but the sieve filter still seemed to allow the water pipes to pop out slightly..I got 2 replacements but both seemed poorly manufactured as the wash blade would not fit tightly. I then got the old one and glued some small bits of plastic to act as a brace. It all worked until the water pressure switch packed up so replaced that and all good! The machine keeps going :)…

Btw ohms on the original pump showed it was still good. I also had to replace the drain hose as it cracked due to age! but wasn’t blocked.

    Thks
