    Hi Experts,
My last lazy start query im living with lol, but here’s another thing I’m stuck with, i had the above dryer, and i’ve had it that long i can’t actually remember what was wrong with it, except to say im really struggling to refit a belt to it— And i know that’s an easy problem BTW the dryer worked A1 before i thought changing the belt would be a good idea , and yes id agree usually but heh , hands like shovels,
Anyway today I was gifted the identical dryer, whether by luck , or someones taunting me, the guy said its stuck on pause, so he’d read its the door interlock, so he replaced it , but still the start/pause button flashing, So I thought ahaaaa, ill swop over the top panel with buttons and board and happy days,Mmmm so i swapped them over and ( i know this panels fine ) still the same fault:confused::confused::confused:,
So, a hard question? where should i look for the fault, stats or start capacitor??? or is there a test/service programme for this model

    Thanks guys and lady experts
    James

if the start capacitor has gone then it should not stay on pause and giving the drum a push should make it run

Maybe the facia panel as the touch control goes through that

Dave id agree, esp as Ive swopped the complete front panel for one I KNOW is good, so by pressing the start” touch button” that should go green and then give the drum a helping spin , but Nowtttt……., these capacitors are a pain, does the helping hand method only work when the capacitor is Fail— ing IE on its way out, if it completely dead– would the helping hand method still work? I mean what would happen if the capacitor wasn’t connected up , then the light wouldn’t go green OR would it, and the helping spin of the drum wouldn’t work , am i understanding it correctly ?

    Thanks

So 8-40 am, after wiggling all the electrical connectors and swearing a bit , its fired up, so just letting it run to test the heater and condenser, will give another update later , im semi happy
