There is an issue with the lights on my Lamona Curved Glass Chimney Extractor and I had an engineer visit.
He wasn’t able to remove the decorative chimney surround and suggested I need a joiner to remove the kitchen panels above, which I’m not keen on.
The surround catches on the raised bit as shown in the photo and would also likely catch on the control panel.
Any ideas how I can remove the surround please?
if the surround is cut into the wood at the top you will have to remove the wood panels first
kitchen fitter are a nightmare, dont think things ever need to come out again, see this lots

It’s not cut into the overhead panel just rests on it both at the top and bottom.

take out filters underneath and look to see it there are any mounting screws into the wallif yes undo a few turns (don’t remove them), what am hoping is you may get a little movement to allow you to withdraw the cover

Still no joy, I can’t actually see how it was fitted in the first place. Think I’m just going to have to live with having no lights on the cooker hood 🙁
