ParticipantHi,
I try to stay clear of Miele dishwashers, but I have agreed to look at this one as a favour.
It’s showing error code F14 which I believe is something to do with the pressure switch? I don’t have the model number yet, but are their any tips/tricks that can help before I attend. Thanks

Moderatorswitch is mounted on the side of the motor. to access bottom of the unit has to be removed which means getting towels to mop up the water
this fault could also be low pressure on motor output so you would need to check pump input. Bad news is on most of them the pump is against the rear wall so the sump needs to be removed
if its a really late on with the 3 phase motor be carefull as the pcb feeds 300VDC to the motor and the circuit has high voltage caps

ParticipantWhenever a miele DW goes wrong, I instantly think… plastic wrappers in the wash motor, seen it so many times. Blocks the impeller blades and causes heater switch believe the machine is dry of water.
Just a thought.

ParticipantThanks, I visited yesterday.
The customer said that they had tried it several times and it would always display F14 after 3-4 minutes. I ran it before I pulled it out (it’s integrated) and it filled to the correct level and then started washing. It was running for approximately 10 minutes and then it tripped the circuit breaker, which it did twice. I meggered the heater which was ok and I then removed the connections to the heater relay and then the earth fault cleared. There was also moisture around the terminals of the heater relay, although I couldn’t see where it was coming from.February 7, 2024 at 9:13 pm #489396electrofix
Moderatorare you talking the heater relay or the pressure switch on the motor pump housing
had quite a few pressure switches fail and blow trips when rubber diaphragm fails

Moderatoryes it will be that switch had a few of them fail its not uncommon
if you disconnect the switch and meter from the terminal to earth you will get a reading when it should be no reading at all
also Miele parts are usually cheaper if bought direct from miele
