My beko dishwasher is filling with water then it’s trying to pump it around the unit, making a “try and die” noise, only a tiny bit of water comes out of sprayers. It does that for few minutes then drains water away and switches itself off.

I stripped it and found no blockages anywhere. There are two possible reasons for this happening that I can see.

    1. The heat/recirculating pump failed – rotor feels fine when spinned by hand
    2. The valve failed and pump is trying to pump against closed valve and stops – this looks more likely

    Anyone had that issue before?
What would you say it is? Thanks

oh I agree but if i had the serial no i would be able to bring up all the correct components and the correct tech which may include known problems

also i assume by valve you mean the water distributor in the base that alternates flow between the upper and lower decks. This valve can’t close as such it just blocks flow to alternate bars. so its unliklely to be causing the problem. I have had these fail and the customer complaint is normally one or other decks dont seem to be cleaning well
