    Hi all can any one tell me if hoover are having problems with there pcb `s as this is the second one this week where the control card all flashes. can find no loose connections no burn marks Heater not down to earth anything else should I be looking at ?

    big problem with hoover is even their tech site is a pile of poo

    does it flash on turn on or as programme progresses

    Hi dave she said it started flashing halfway through ( she thinks) now it dose it as soon as it is turned on at the plug? they say it could be an overheat problem so I tried another thermistor still the same.

    did you disconnect heater just to make sure its not that

    Check board for bulging caps

    other than that gets harder. you can do silly stuff like check pump winding , motor coils etc but in the end you may well have to give up and scrap it

    yes ! thanks dave. have done all that. I might lend her a m/c and bring hers back to the workshop and play .
