When the start button is pressed, the door locks and the programme runs for a second then stops. The display briefly shows 0 then goes back to show the programme duration. There is no fault code and the led in the start button flashes. All programmes have the same result.
what is the issue ?first thing to check is motor brushes
think its a brush motor but your model number brings up 8 varients so cant be certain without checking all or getting prod codeDave
Thanks for the suggestion Dave. I replaced the brushes although there was still some life left in the originals.
The fault behaviour did not change. I’m going to try replacing the control board as there’s no obvious signs of damage anywhere else.Changed the control board which made no difference. Then following your suggestion started unplugging things in turn, since there’s not not much else to go wrong.
It was after unplugging the water input solenoids that the fault went away. To my surprise, when I plugged them back in, the fault did not come back !
There may be some weird wiring issue which has been cleared for the moment by the movement of the wiring loom ? Fingers crossedmore likely to be a heater earth fault which very often will not trip a house trip swt board but should give you the fault as you describe
PS. Disconnect the heater wires and try the machine on Rinses that way you should avoid the machine sensing the wires have been unplugged
