    Hi,
My Bosch Logixx 7 washing machine door lock won’t release. I’m also unable to open the door manually via the emergency release. No error codes and washing machine appeared to working ok. I’ve tried unplugging, running the spin program a couple of times, etc. but it won’t unlock. There is resistance on the opening handle/lever. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Dave,
Thanks for your response. I have tried opening the door whilst pulling down on the manual release but unable to open.
With respect to a child lock, I don’t think there is one on this model.

Also, probably should have mentioned that when you select a program or pause, you can hear an audible click from the lock mechanism.

ok all you can do now is try to get to the back of it and try to move the hook by hand
am thinking the door latch mech may be faulty. Hope its not as its complete door £200

you can remove the front of the machine and it will come away and hang on the door rubber but give you enough room to get at the hook and push it

or you could just take lid off and see if there is any way to get it from the top

dont forget to unplug unless you want curly hair

    Thanks Dave,
My gut feeling is that the door mechanism is the problem. If, as you say it is in the region of £200 for parts, it’s probably not really worth it for a machine that’s probably approaching 10 year old.
    Thanks for your input though,

Most likely just the handle at fault(?) as the plastic moulding breaks around the striker. Based on a WIS28440GB/06 version because you do not say.Well, by the line diagram of the door, the door handle and its striker is listed separately as part 00704287 BUT this is really a complete door at £197.98, outrageous. Hmm, somewhat confusing, if you were to look the complete door up as part 00704285 it is £205.46……Gulp! So if your flimsy door handle breaks this is how much it`ll cost you as a DIY. I phoned up Bosch to get clarification IN CASE OF A MISTAKE, there is no mistake and so the door handle you cannot buy as a separate part as the door is sealed apparantly.
This is a becoming a typical C21st Capitalistic ridiculous (and so caught by the short ones) rip off, a discusting state of affairs. And so the answer is: do not buy a Bosch as my honest opinion! OR if possible, you look and research how much the parts are listed BEFORE you buy one (recommended for any potential Miele owners too) and I cannot stress this point more whether a Bosch or any other make; the world is full of nasty surprises and this example is just another one of them.
