ParticipantMy Beko freezer model FFP1671W has stopped working — the compressor won’t start at all; it’s completely silent. The evaporator fan also not working. The main power green indicator is on with red flashing and beep alarm indicating temperature high.
It seems there’s no power going to the compressor however. I’ve checked the capacitor, relay, and PTC, EMI, and they all seem fine. The compressor itself also looks okay based on the resistance readings. The temperature sensor also appears to be fine. I’m wondering if the problem could be due to a PCB fault or a faulty temperature control keeping the freezer turned off. Is there any way to bypass the temperature control to test it? Also, is there a thermostat sealed behind the back panel that could possibly be preventing the freezer from running.

Moderatorwhen you say temp sensor is fine
how do you know ?Dave

I tested the resistance and auumes it is fine. The resistance is around 15K ohms at room temperature and around 20K ohms at minus10 degree.

yes about right
lists it as 15k should be 15 degrees and at 20k it should be 10 degrees
if it was me I would swop the big blue capacitor and see what happens

Thanks Dave,
no voltage to the blue capacitor when plugged sound issue with pcb or electricity cut off somewhereOctober 17, 2025 at 9:49 am #493951electrofix
Moderatorok power will come into the green resistor. this will then lead on to the capacitor
you should get power somewhere in that area

ParticipantIf I short the triac transistor(btb16-800cw, the black one on silver metal, photo attached) the compressor and the fan start to work.

Moderatorok that proves the compressor
measure the voltage across the blue capacitor
also measure resistance on green resistor looks like 39 ohm

yes the resistance on the green resistor is around 39 ohm.
Now the fridge freezer seems to work fine after PCB replaced, not exactly same model though -
